CHAMPIONSHIP

This is an open singles competition with no handicap allowance.  

The winner in each round and in the final is the first to reach 21 points.

 

PRESIDENTS CUP

This is an open competition with full handicap allowance which is to be added to the score card before start of play.  

The winner in each round and in the final is the first to reach 21 points.

 

STUMP CUP

This is an open 2 bowl pair’s competition with no handicap allowance.  The draw is seeded which should give each pair an even chance.  

The winner in each round and in the final is the best of three sets of 10 ends each.  

 

PAIRS CUP

This is an open pair’s competition with full handicap allowance.  The total of each pairs allowance is to be added to the score card before the start of play.  The draw is seeded which should give each pair an even chance and is ideal for all bowlers.  

The winners in each round and in the final are the pair with the highest score after 21 ends. In the event of a tie, additional ends will be played until an extra point is scored.

 

TYRO CUP

This is a singles competition with no handicap allowance open to all members who have never won a singles competition and it is especially suited to beginners.

The winner in each round and in the final is the first to reach 21 points.

 

Singles Competitions = 4 bowls          Pairs Cup = 4 bowls          Stump Cup = 2 bowls

 

HANDICAP  ALLOWANCES

0 Points:  If bowling for 5 years or more

1 Point: Competition Committee Discretion

2 Points: Competition Committee Discretion

3 Points: Second year of bowling but not reached a final

4 Points: Novice in first full year of bowling
